Music has always been the best part of Rick Cram’s life. His father was a semi-professional guitarist in a country band and taught and played with him as he grew up. When they played together later in life, they were known as “Rick & Ben Next of Kin”. The very best thing music did for Rick was meeting his future wife when asked to join her Brothers Trio, playing pop music for a lot of weddings and club dances.
When his work caused him to move from Colorado to Kansas, he was away from music for a few years until moving back to Colorado and started his own business. He and his accountant were able to form a rock band called “Fools Gold” for several years in the Eagle and Vail area… even doing a stint in Vegas!
After retiring, Rick moved to Arizona playing at all the jam sessions and met with Clyde Jorgenson and Gene Burkhart and formed the “Arizona Pioneer Trio” who performed for several years until Gene’s health deteriorated. He played mainly country music with “Change of Heart” and “Vinyl Recall” for a few years until joining “Rockin’ The Oldies” and continuing his passion for CPR – Country, Pop and Rock music.
